Gizmo was less than 2 lbs when I got him this pen, and is now somewhere around 5 lbs and he still has a ton of room in there :-) it was by far I think my best purchase for him, and he's never had a potty accident in it. He always uses his pad in there, and even when he's out roaming and playing during the day, even though he has potty pads outside the pen and uses them too, he will occasionally go in his pen during the day :-) I absolutely love mine xoxo
