Wish I had something to offer on that. Gracie is 12 weeks old. Her first car rides were in a purse type carrier bag so she was snuggled down and confined. After awhile we got her a Snoozer seat. She loves sitting in it up on the console. It has a "seatbelt" and she has a chewy in there.
I feel so fortunate that she loves to go "bye bye". She expresses no problems at all. Hopefully someone else will have some words of wisdom.
It crossed my mind that her early travels being snuggled in a carrier might have gotten her used to the car before she rode in the Snoozer where she could see everything.
We travel on longer road trips with her strapped in a Sleepypod. She is cozy like in a bed, feels safe and yet can also see out.
