I thought 6 hours was a lot for the first time. He said that's what they suggest, but it doesn't have to be that long. I understand it needing to be more than an hour or so...just to give her time to adjust. When I set up the eval I will probably make it for less time (or call after 2 or 3 hours to see how she's doing). This is at a doggie day care facility, so if it works out, it will be nice to know I will have a place to leave her if I have to be gone for long periods and don't have anyone to watch her. But initially my intention is to bring her once a week for maybe 2 hours just to play. Hopefully she'll meet some new friends.
