Now I am really sickened learning that other zoos wanted to take the baby giraffe, but the Copenhagen zoo chose to slaughter him anyway.

I got nauseous when I visited the zoo with my nephews and had to leave.
Mark, I used to think like you -- the National Zoo gave me a chance as a child to see the pandas up close, but the cost to the animals is too high.
I agree with Jeanie, we have enough multimedia today to enjoy seeing these animals and learning about them in their natural habitats.
