Yep lay some towels on the floor and let them have at it. I also point. "Mr.HAirDryer" at her for a while and then pin brush.
I found it works better for me to wash her face , chest, and front legs first. Then dry a little with dry washrag , then continue on. She seems less stressed out than having her Face and eyes soaking wet thru out the whole ordeal
I use Chris Christensen products . It's just what my sister the groomer got me to begin with. They are fabulous. After shampoo and cream rinse I use After u Bathe same line , it gets all the soap out and makes brushing easier. Then after drying and brushing I love theit coat link coat dressing. Moisturizers their coat and takes the frizzies right out.So beautiful.
