They stated it is a common practice in zoos all over the world to stop inbreeding. A reporter asked if children cried while watching and the response was no actually it was the opposite they asked a lot of very good questions. First I would never allow my child to watch it is not the natural progression of how we eat meat...I don't eat giraffe, I do eat meat but I don;t want to see it killed in front of me. Next they stated other facilities were not up to Copenhagen standards so it was best to kill healthy 18 month old Marius and then feed him to lions. Sick is what I call it. May Marius RIP and may those in charge be fired.
