I do support zoos and the like for the exposure they give to live animals, different types. Not everyone can travel to the rock to see Europe's only monkey in the wild. It is important that the animals are well cared for though. Besides being a rare living creature, it is a valuable learning tool. The exposure of people to these animals in zoos, invigorates the awareness of protecting their natural habitat for the remaining animals.
This giraffe should have been allowed to go to another zoo unless it had a severe medical issue. |
