I have the bulky/ugly one that hides the tank. I like it because even with the fire on, there's area around for glasses, plates, propped feet, and the metal around the pit doesn't get too hot. I wouldn't like one that doesn't hide the tank. I'm OCD weird about stuff.
I prefer the chimnea with pinion wood. I like the way the wood smells. We even burn it in the summer to help with mosquitoes and flys. |
Ya know, never thought about the benefit of having the bigger one where you can put drinks/plates/whatnot...good idea. I too don't love the idea of a hose running off to the side, bleh.
