Like I said, not all mommas go textbook...some DO NOT fluctuate their temperature....she may never drop, never go off food, .......never nest until within a couple of hours out from whelping. Yes, you can have a female deliver without a temp drop.....I never hang my hat on textbook signs and symptoms.....after getting caught completely unaware one time! Takes only once......
Is your momma at your bedside? If she is, you can doze during the night...she will wake you up when she starts to rustle around in her whelping box/crate.
