She still has some hypoglycemic episodes, which I feed her right away when she begins shaking for no reason! I don't like that she has to go so long without food. I am just worried sick and don't want to have her spayed..... Please help ease my fears! |
I see that you said "..don't want to have her spayed......"
Soooo, the question here is whether you really want/need her to be spayed. I see you have other pups - any males in the pack - pregnancy issue - she is really small for that to occur!
I think you have to wrestle with that question first, and decide it it is necessary.
My Cali was tiny when she was spayed, but it was necessary because she was way too small for there to be the risk of an accidental pregnancy even though there were no other dogs in the house. I felt the pregnancy and the risk of cancer was greater than the chance of problems with spay.
Maybe you need to come to a comfortable place with that.
That being said I have to tell you I stayed at the vet's all day the day she was spayed - they even put me in an office that had a couch because they knew I was not leaving

. And, as they had assured me, all went well, in fact when she came home she plowed right into her favorite toy and wanted to play
Will be thinking of you folks on the 12th
