Gracie is 12 weeks old and has been using her sharp little teeth in play for about 2 weeks now and OUCH!!
Vet tips and it works for sure and doesn't hurt her: Command is "No Bite" and you place a thumb on the upper portion of her mouth and a finger on her nose and squeeze gently while saying it OR you can squeeze --gently-- the side of her mouth (upper lip is chubbier and easier to do) and say "No Bite".
We are told that this correction at the "scene of the crime" (being the teeth/mouth) is all that will really work.
She did not respond to the water bottle for anything we tried it for so that went to the wayside.
I also find that loud noises don't bother her as long as they are "normal" noises and I don't react in a startled way (like vacuum, siren, hammering, compressor, something heavy falling on floor etc) |
