I would like to get Luci into a play group with other small dogs. She seems to be a bit timid around other dogs and I would like to break her of that. I have checked out one place in my area. They would do a 6 hour evaluation with her...see how she is without me, see how she is with the staff, see how she is with other dogs, etc. Then I would like to drop her off once (maybe twice) a week for an hour or two to play. Has anyone done this? I'm a little afraid of leaving her for 6 hours (I just don't want her to be scared and think I'm abandoning her), but I understand they need to evaluate her behavior. I really want her to socialize and be comfortable around other dogs her size.

Any advice?
