unless she has special needs once a week is probably too often. If you wash them too much you take out all the natural oils and can dry their skin and coat.
As far as getting her to like bathing use rewards. Maybe treats or a favorite toy. Show her the cloth, give her a treat, put the cloth on her, treat, and so on until she gets that the wash cloth means good things. Maybe use it dry for a little bit, just rubbing it on her and then giving her a favorite toy to play with. She will begin to associate the cloth with good things instead of getting her face washed and hopefully learn to accept face washing with a bit more grace.
