Then this "breeder" you are taliking with, that bred your puppy, is going by nothing that anyone with any dog that is registered with the AKC, can get....a 3 generation pedigree. That will NOT give you a working knowledge base of this pup's pedigree.... This is what is involved in "bettering the breed", which is what responsible, ethical breeders do. This involves more than a three generation pedigree. You will need to learn your pedigrees.....you know really need to know "where you have been" so you can determine "where you are going" when you start breeding. That is the difference between throwing two dogs together to get a litter of puppies, and being a responsible, ethical, educated breeder. Honor and respect the breed and the unbelievable breeders that have paved the way before us, who have, through knowledge and study and planning and deliberate, selective breeding, have laid down the template for our beautiful, wonderous Yorkies.

She should already know all this since she and her partners have shown before..
