Just wondering why pups don't cry if they're not getting enough milk? Is this typical? Could they be ill? |
Mom needs to eat and take in plenty of fluids.
I always keep plenty of Cesar on hand for my new Moms. It's not the best food, but they rarely turn it down. I also add some water to it since they often won't drink enough on their own.
I also boil up some beef liver and mix it in. It is very nutrient dense and has a great restorative effect. You can use the broth instead of water to mix into the food.
I don't feed the liver with every meal. It's kind of rich, but feeding some once a day is fine.
