I have never dealt with LP, thankfully, but I did once have a dog with hip dysplasia. It is imperative that the connective tissues be preserved as long as possible. The body depends on those tissues to support where the joint is deficient.
I have never used the product you mention. I always look for products that used real food sources for their supplements. The first dose of joint supplement I ever gave my dog almost killed him. It had been supplied to me by a vet and I gave the appropriate dose but he apparently was allergic to one of the ingredients. Always be cautious when giving any supplement for the first few doses.
There are so many companies jumping on the bandwagon claiming that their products are "natural" that it is now necessary to really get a good look at where their product originates and how it is processed. Have you read up on this company and compared it with others?
Omega 3's have also been found to be very helpful for supporting joint health.
Good luck with your little guy. |
