Thanks for all of the input everyone. I wasn't second guessing the dog-just when I heard that CKC doesn't matter if the dogs are inbred, sometimes are not full blooded, that bothered me.
I did ask the breeder today why CKC and she said it was the fee changes. She said that AKC has upped the fees-it was pretty expensive per puppy. This made me feel 100% better. And, I trust her and I like her anyway. With her explanation and all of yours, I feel 110% sure that I am making the right decision to buy her. She is only 5 weeks old, so I won't pick her up for at least another month (10-12 weeks, longer if she needs it). |
