I hadn't heard about using the pads designed for human babies. I'm wondering though if they have rayon in them - because I've heard rayon keeps the pads from fully absorbing and also limits how much odor will ever be washed away.

I have seen these one pads on ebay, starting at 6.99 for a foot of pad that is 36" wide and can be cut and not fray. They say it'smade from some revolutionary material.

if anyone want to check these out go to ebay and search under washable pee pad.

I have not had any problems at all w/ any odor staying in the pads after washing. The crib sheets containing rayon I am not positive about right now?? I have had no problems at all with the pads not being absorbant. Also, being that I have Ransom (male) I lay the pad on the floor with about 4 inches which lies against the wall/baseboard. In the morning he lifts his leg and it goes right on the pad. He never lifts his leg any other time, just his first morning potty time. strange really, LOL.

And i figure I do laundry everyday anyway and it hasnt been hard making a load just of the pads themselves.

I save the disposables for when we are traveling etc.
