Yes, but you can't test conception, you CAN test ovulation. That's why at least 63 days is important. Dogs can still get pregnant 3 days after ovulation, but at least you know when she ovulated, not just that she tied and 3 days later tied again. Ovulation could have occurred at any time during the ties or even after.

Knowing ovulation, by progesterone testing is key to knowing a better due date for your female.


I learned all this after my accidental pregnancy and her subsequent c-section and spay. I don't need the knowledge now, since I never breeding again, but it's nice knowing it.
