Hey y'all...

I have been putting Ricky's hair up in a top knot until I recently noticed a red mark/sore on his head where the rubber band sits. His hair has always been thin up there, but I've also noticed that his hair is thinning even more.

Because it's so thin, I usually have to put a small rubber band in and then I put a plastic clip around it to hold the rubber band in...the rubber bands are supposed to be the non-pull kind and they are small like the kind you use for braces. I always cut them out so I don't pull his hair out. a

Am I doing something wrong here??

I can't stand the hair in his eyes. He looks like Cousin It from the Adams Family...but I don't want him to have a sore on his head either.
