There are different types. I almost bought one of the enamel coated cast iron casserole dishes, but noticed chips when new in the store, so I passed. I loved the aqua color though.
A friend got similar ones at Macy's, Martha Stewart brand, and returned them due to chipping.
I do however love Paula Dean non-stick cookware set (fry pans & sauce pans), with the porcelain aqua coating outside, and after a year have no chips. |
