I agree, make sure none of the food has seasonings or spices. Some are toxic for dogs, and some will lead to serious illness.
Personally, I would skip the steak for this reason and others. Some people give a little to their Yorkies, but I would not risk it.
Review the list of foods that are toxic to dogs.
Keep in mind your dog's size. Little dogs don't need much to be happy.
Some of the things my boys love: sweet potato, steamed plain chicken breast, Greek yogurt, baby sweet peas, green beans, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese.
