Yes, unfortunately in my line of work I see the best and people and the worst in people. They did x-rays, it's a clean break so the cast should heal it up, otherwise he is doing well. I took him home last night and a foster picked him up this morning to keep him until his cast can come off. He is a happy little guy who I think doesn't know why he has this big thing on his leg. They think he is only 6 1/2- 7 weeks, very young still.
I remind myself everyday why I do this. It is not for the awful people that did this to him but for the wonderful people that will give him a loving forever family.
