If the poor little thing seems too traumatized by it you may try onesies.
I did for my Baby girls spay and she seemed comforted by something around her and healed very fast. Also my vet recommended aloe Vera gel to sooth the incision . She healed very fast .
Have you tried yogurt or cottage cheese , too.
Comfort , comfort, comfort......hold , hold, hold.
Try to omit startling sounds that may make them jump.
As much as I tried to get mine used to sounds , she still prefers quiet when she sleeps, preferably me by her side.....it's just soothing to them.
Prayers to you, things will get better.
And if she don't like pumkin mixed try alone on your fingers.
