Oh my goodness - I'd be SO ticked off ! You never, ever want to cut the quick on purpose as it's very, very painful and can cause the dog such trauma that it ruins all future trims bc they're utterly terrified (this is what the groomers caused in our Wylie).

If/when the quick is too far grown out, all you need to do is trim it little-by-little each week until it is further back - and then you can space out the trimmings to every couple/three weeks.
