Default Sadie out of Surgery

Thanks everyone for your advice. I ended up staying with my vet in Harrington, DE. I have confidence in her. She did very well with my other dog. I called a few other vets last night and no one offered any solutions beyond what Dr. Little was already doing. We ended up doing emergency surgery this morning. Good thing we went in. She was in surgery for over three hours!!! There was no blockage, but there is a lot of plaque/polyp like tissue in her intestines. They were unable to remove it all because there was so much of it they would have to remove the whole intestine! I was worried about that, but the second surgeon on the task assured me that they feel it is probably just inflamed tissue, that can be controlled with medication. They think she could have irritable bowel syndrome. They took samples of the intestinal gook as well as the stomach and will send that off to make sure there is not any cancer or other disease. Will take a week to get those results back. They also have concern that she may have A-typical Addison's or Hodgkin's disease based on her lethargy, but I personally think that is just because she was in pain and not eating much. Needless to say the bill is astronomical! :-( I checked into a few assistance sites. Found one that may pan out. Here's to keeping my fingers crossed.......
