Please let us know how the vet visit went. |
Back from the vets office. He said she had early signs of eclampsia and had us buy a supplement called nutri-cal. I'm to feed her a teaspoon a day. I can give her yogurt (which I bought) and ice cream. Also, he said I should wean the puppy and bottle feed. But my grandmother does not think I should wean her if she's on calcium supplement. Her milk is coming in good enough, I feel. And when I went to the feed store to buy a bottle for Sybil, we met a couple of english bull breeders who told me I should absolutely not wean a 3 day old puppy. So I'm torn on who to listen to. The vet, or the experienced breeders (and gma)?
Sorry for so many questions, btw. I just want to know as much as I can and can't think of a more knowledgeable group than the members of yorkie talk.
