As to your story, I do have to make some comments. I don't know how old she was when you got her, but if the breeder said she could not get pregnant, are you saying she said she was spayed? If so, I would be at her doorstep looking for money for that c-section. The other thing I totally do not get from your post is why no one noticed she was in heat.
I will say a prayer for your yorkie...I hope all is well. I don't breed so I have nothing to offer regarding your questions other than to speak with the vet. |
Yes, I got her believing she was spayed. At least, that's what I assumed when she said "Now, she does not have the capabilities to get pregnant, so at least you don't have to worry about that" My dad's ex gf was a breeder and she gave me the yorkie as a gift. We have since moved from that state and I have no clue where she lives.
No, I absolutely did not notice she was in heat. The vet said it was probably her first one. There was no blood. I didn't notice swelling until after she became pregnant. I do feel guilty for not paying close attention to her. It was the holidays and we were guests in someone else's home. So I felt the need to help cook, clean. And so forth.
So yes, she was in heat, and no. I did not realize.
Thank you for your prayers, she has a vet appointment at 2.
