Poor little Milo! I have never heard of a vet or anyone cutting them shorter than the quick, unless by accident! It makes no sense to me. If they have gotten long, normally they cut off as much as they can without hitting the quick and then do it every couple of weeks as the quick shortens. I feel bad that Milo and you went through this.
