So I still haven't tried the chickpea crepes yet. I bought some dried chickpeas at Sprouts bc I couldn't find the chickpea flour in the bulk section. Well I just about gave bf a heart attack when I tried using the Vitamix with the wet container to grind up the rock hard peas. I don't have the dry container. It started turing it into nut butter so I stopped. This morning I went to my Persian market and they have a bag of chickpea flour for $2.69 a bag. LOL So tonight I will make the crepes. And if successful, these will be my stand in for all things bready.

It is gluten free, low carb and very high in protein. Very simple recipe.
1 part flour, 1 part water. Salt and spices to taste. Heat cast iron pan high heat and add in high smoking oil. Pour in and when it bubbles flip it over. That's it. Apparently it's popular with sauteed mushrooms and rosemary, or with goat cheese or labne. YUM

Since I have started reporting on this thread I have gone down one belt notch and about 4 pounds. No exercising and still with my nightly rum. Just better food decisions.
