That is really cool you use to teach it. So you totally understand where I am coming from. |
I totally do, my life used to revolve around the aerobic schedule, who taught it, what type of class it was, where I stood in the room and so forth. My husband used to be pissed, his only day off was Sunday and my favorite class was 9 am on Sunday morning, so I never wanted to sleep in or have breakfast together. It was like a little cult, I knew most of the people that would attend the classes I did and most of us stood in the same place, for each class. A friend of mine is going through this now and she finally decided that she is tired of missing a workout because she can not make the class or does not like the teacher, so she is showing up just to do the cardio instead of the class. At Bally's I would often notice the die hard aerobics students barely used the rest of the gym at all, they would show up just before class and leave right afterwards. For a long time I belonged to an aerobic only studio where they had no equipment other than what was used in the class, in hind sight I wish I did not do that, but it was pretty popular then, not quite as much now. Also now there are more boot class type of classes where you use weights or resistance so you are not just jumping up and down which is really hard on your joints and bones.
