This is the MAXIMUM dose that dogs should ever have. I've read to start at 1/2 tsp and go from there, but my vet has never ever had us use it. We've always been instructed to give Pepcid for upset stomachs its a much safer medication.
I wouldn't give anything without speaking to your veterinarian.
