Xrays Yes, she spent a day in the hospital getting x-rayed throughout the day. They thought they saw a blockage and were waiting to see if it was passing. It looked like things weren't moving through her digestive system correctly. By the end of the day it seemed to have passed enough, so they sent her home with instructions to monitor the vomiting. She did better for a few weeks, but it is worse now.
There have been a LOT of changes in her life over the past 2 months. It seems whenever there is a change in her routine she throws up, even if it was something fun, like playing with a classmate from puppy class. So we are trying to ascertain if there is really something wrong or if she just has a nervous stomach. It is hard to know at this point, especially now that there is the diarrhea added in, which is a new thing.
For now she is on Zantac, an antibiotic for the infection (which we are waiting on the final labwork to figure out exactly what it is) and something for the diarrhea. So poor thing is sleepy all the time. We will find out on Monday the results of the testing and then decide from there when to schedule the spay/exploratory surgery. |
