I tend to hold off giving my pubs their first shot. I want to make sure the vaccine takes. Studies show that the older the pup is, the greater the chances are that it provoked the proper immune response. At 20 weeks the chance of provoking the immune system is near 100percent.
The OP's pup will likely need a 4th vaccine or else delay the 3rd one to be confident of protection. 14 weeks is too early to be finished with puppy vaccinations. |
If it was the DHLPP if would have lepto in it...Either way the three way would be better than a 5 way. I agree I would hold off the third one too. You definitely do not have to start over if the vet tries to tell you this. If you hold off you will have to keep your pup inside and away from other dogs.
