That's basically how I feel, almost all of the trips I've taken have been a few hours away and most were day trips. That's the good part about NJ, lots of stuff to do within driving distance. The bad thing is my mom doesn't like a lot of the things I like, so we mostly went to the beach. She's extremely city-phobic and hates all the historic stuff.

Disney World is the closest I've come to a real vacation. I went once Freshman year with my mom and grandmom and again for my Senior trip with school. Both times on a tight budget and I got sick with a bad sinus infection.

It was hard growing up, my town has a lot of rich people and they'd constantly take all these awesome trips to Islands, Europe, and of course Disney World. I was bullied a lot for never going to Disney.
It wasn't uncommon for people to take 3+ major trips a year (summer, christmas, easter) plus take days off school for vacations.

I'd like to go to all the parks at some point, but the one in Tokyo looks the best. Plus their merchandise is ridiculously cute.
