Once upon a time....I was a professor at a university. When I was teaching a class about how laws get made at the state level I asked a young senator to come and speak to the class. As she explained the very complex process of getting a bill through the system it came out that she is a veterinarian but had to quit because she could not stand it when people would bring in their dogs and asked to have them put-down because they could not, or would not, afford the treatment for them. Additionally, she had a disabled child that required constant care that was expensive and she spent so very much time trying to collect from people who would not pay their bill --- so she quit and became a politician because the benefits were good and she could get good care for her disabled child. She told this store with tears in her eyes........soooo, we have to look at both sides of this picture.
