I have mild RLS, and I can definitely say it's stress related. If I have a lot on my mind, it will flare up. I rarely have symptoms at night, but forget trying to lay down and take a nap in the middle of the day when I am stressed. My only relief, is to get up and walk around. I'll lay there and fight it for the longest time first however. Just about the time I'm about to doze off I'll get that tingle and have to shake or flex, or push my foot against something to relieve it. It's so frustrating. So I just get up and walk around for a little while, or do a chore to try to take my mind off of it. It seems too, if I think about it, it will happen. Like if I think to myself, I haven't had RLS for a while when I sit down to relax, there it shows up.....
