I still can't believe the writer of that article said that the person who takes on the care, cost and responsibility of caring for one of the millions of abdondoned/surrendered dogs in this country in need of psychotherapy for calling what they do a "rescue". That person is often all that stands between that dog and a life of suffering or death and they have hours of work and care in rehabbing that damaged dog ahead of them so many times.
