We went crabbing with him on the boat, "crab bait" was mentioned, it just stuck. LOL Crab Bait aka Gucci.... He actually responds better when called, "Crab Bait!"
His mamma just reminded me of the story, a stranger on a dock in the San Juans referred to him as bait because of his size, that evolved in to me calling him "Crab Bait".
We catch dungeness crabs here in Washington. Very tasty!
