I agree with Patti that the tail won't grow any longer. But maybe the hair on the end tail will grow out some. My Tibbe has about a 1 1/2 - 2" tail but the hair on the end of it grows out stiffish and stands up on the end, always making it look longer. As I like a very short tail, I keep it cut back short on the end but before I know it, the hair has grown out stiff again and makes his tail look considerably longer when I haven't trimmed it for a while. Hopefully yours will grow out stiffish in time and add some length to the appearance of it.
