my new baby was spayed by shelter....i picked her up the day after she was spayed and she looked fine. they used the self dissolving stitches- dk if ur vet will use the same. ***the important thing u need to remember is to keep her stitches dry. get a e-collar and u have to keep it on her 24/7 for a few weeks 10-14 days at least. it's hard cause i know dogs hate those collars but u don't want her to lick it. no water baths either. u do not want anything wet to touch those stitches. if those stitches open- the insides will pop out. don't use any meds on the stitches either or they might mess up. watch out for any inflammation, redness signs of infection. take care hope she recovers well. let me know if u have any other ?'s
