Your only way of knowing she won't get pregnant is not allowing them anywhere near each other. Males have been known to chew through doors and walls to get to a female in heat!! And it truly takes a few seconds for them to tie and a pregnancy result-I have puppies to prove this! |
How big are you babies? My male dog is about 6-7 pounds. I kinda' doubt he can chew through walls (as a larger dog can). Well, I really don't know, but I lock her in a locked room and him in a large cage (when I am not at home). I know animals will do crazy things to mate so I'll be sure to keep a keen eye. Thank you!
