I use malwarebytes as well and find it more useful than any other anti-virus softwares out there. From past experience, the anti virus softwares like Norton didn't pick up some things that malwarebytes (or other anti malware/spyware programs) would catch.
I hope you have important files backed up on a regular basis. You just never know.
