My dentist gives me an antiangziety (sp) drug to take before I come in to have any work done. I have to go in the week after next to get some work done and he told me to come by next week to pick up my perscription for one pill. It helps alot, I use to cry in the dentist chair. I am so afraid of dentists!
I tense up and break out in a cold sweat and alot of the time my jaw will clamp shut... you are so not alone in your fear!!!! I too cry on my way there and on the way home
To make matters worse, I am very allergic to flouride, I throw up if I ingest even a small amount. I've been going to the same dentist for well over 15 years but I am still scared that he is going to forget about my allergy and I am going to throw up all over him
