Crawling under the furniture when you cook? Could she be stressed by or allergic to airborne particles from the kitchen? (I had a dog who suffered from airborne allergies and had awful skin problems from time to time.)
With my male yorkie, I had to switch to a sulfate-free shampoo and oatmeal conditioner to ease his itchiness.
