Rainbow Sweet Little Lacy rest in the arms of our Lord

Little Lacy's spirit left our home on Christmas Eve and was welcomed in the arms of our Lord. The sweet touch of her little paw on my leg to just remind me that she is there if I want to pick her up so she can more closely watch what I am doing is the most difficult thing I seem to deal with. She was the one that never bonded with any of the other fur babies in all of her 12 years for she was the one that bonded only with "her" 2 humans and a few select friends & extended family members. She had that little stare as though she watched for any second that she could get a smile, a pet, or any connection. She was always right with me from room to room. It did not matter how many times I would go from task to task or room to room, Lacy was with me. How do you stop looking for that sweet devotion? I know that Jesus will understand her and give her his love and sometimes I imagine that he has set her on a soft little pillow at a special window so she can be beside me always. I know it sounds crazy but it helps to think of her lovingly tucked in and warmed with love. I believe that one of God's greatest gifts is the love and devotion of animal and especially dogs. I know that somewhere in his plans; he knew we would need to know that he valued their spirits. Her son, Mikie, now 5 yrs old layed down beside her when I brought her back from the vets. He knew she was his mother. He laid with his head on her paw and walked all around her and just seemed to grieve and say goodbye. Jenny girl always the one to soothe the others and calm them all also grieved by just laying down between me and Lacy and even spent a few minutes laying next to Mikie and licking his around the mouth. She was trying to comfort him. We all sat on the floor with her for about 15 minutes. The others just sniffed and said goodbye. I wish all of you that have lost a little one to have wonderful moments filled with all the sweet/fun times. I wish you a blessed peace and understanding of the precious gift of love so freely given.
