Congrats on your puppy. I got one for the fam too over the holidays - she's a yorkie-poo, but she's more yorkie, then poodle.
We're paper training her too. We've had here for about 3 weeks. We have a crate, connected to the pen. She goes on the pad when she's in the pen, but when we let her out, she goes on the floor. She doesn't seem to be making an effort to get to the pad :'( I don't know how to get her to try to get back into the pen. Maybe I'll leave one outside the pen too?
She's also learning "sit", but she only does it on command when she thinks she's getting food or a treat. Not sure how long it will take for her to do it without expecting a treat, but I guess I'll find out.
