I don't think my topic is directly related to your issue, but my yorkie was making weird noises everytime we would try to go to sleep. (about 1x a month for about 3 months now) One night he kept doing it...making these weird noises....it sounded like he was having trouble breathing....it didnt really sound like a sneeze...it sounded like hiccups? I'm not sure, but i panicked b/c this was the 3rd time he's been doing this! I rushed him to the emergency clinic and the vet said he was perfectly healthy. She recommended me video tape him doing "this" so she could accurately diagnose him, but from my descriptions she categorized it as reverse sneezing? It's just weird b/c my yorkie doesn't do it every night....only sometimes. And he's even vomitted (small, yellow liquid). I guess I'm trusting the vet, that he's healthy, but I also have my video camera right next to my bed in case this happens agains. It was scarey. So my advice to you is....take him to the vet b/c its better safe than sorry? My problem was....as soon as I took my dog to the vet he stopped making those noises!
