There are 2 reasons why a puppy bites:
1) teething
2) mom never taught him bite inhibition.
From what you posted it sounds like your little guy is 10 weeks old, meaning you got him at around 8 weeks right? There is a post somewhere in this vast forum that describe puppy development week by week. It was written by one of the show breeder members YT has to show the importance of a puppy staying with mom a minimum of 12 weeks. During weeks 8-12 mom teaches her litter doggy manners, one being bite inhibition. The litter mates help too. They'll start to play and when one bites too hard, the other puppies or mom will let them know. Seeing as how he's home with you now, you have to play this role. You have to let him know he hurt you, put him in a safe place like a play pen and walk away. It's like trying to let him know he's been a meanie and you don't want to play anymore. I'm sure others will come along with better suggestions. Good luck!
