That's so sad and so scary. So the HGE has nothing to do with the plastic? I read up a little on it, and it sounds like it's treatable but miserable for the little guys. Good luck!

For what it's worth, Eddie was a goat too when he was younger, but the more chew toys we bought him, the less he started looking for bad things to chew. I hardly ever catch him with something he's not supposed to have any more. Try bully sticks, hooves, nylabones, kongs. The more the better.
